Road Trip

We will be on the road soon heading Santa Fe, New Mexico to receive an award. We decided to drive instead of flying. 13hours of driving... My car doesn't look like this red car at all but it was fun to draw again.

Imagination

When I watched the title from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, I remember now how fascinated I was. I was working as an animator in game industry back then. I liked what I was doing but I was hungry for something more creative, imaginative, and artistic. I remember something inside of me screaming for something more. Maybe, that's why I came back to school to finish my films. To feed my hunger.

I am getting hungry again.

Lunch with Phil

Me and Bruno had lunch with Mr. Phil Roman.

It was an honor for us to even sit down across from him.

I met Mr. Phil Roman for the first time at IFFF (International Family Film Festival) award ceramony.

He received the honorable "Friz award" Life time Achievement in Animation at the same night I got an award for "Best CG Animation" with La Lune.

Sitting down with him and talking about casual things was just great!

I wish his well-being and his wife's health.

Hope we have more chance to see him.

Bad Robot

One of people's favorite at the art show was the Robot.

This one was inspired by the live-action short film that I worked on.

It consists of small pieces and took a while to make.

I would feel sad if it gets sold.

But I will make some more, so please buy it!!!

Gallery Godo

My artshow at Gallery Godo went really well.

It was a good opportunity to see other talented artists and friends.

I am very grateful that many people came to see my art and had a lot of fun.

I wish I could have more chances to share my art in the future.

The Artshow is coming soon. I wish that I had one more week. Making these was fun. I felt like I was doing some laundry.

Overwhelmed...

I have been struggling with working on multiple stuff and realized that I need these things in order. My workroom is covered with full of things that I ignored for a while and started piling up. (Literally, I have to look for one paper for 30 minites of digging and searching! How efficient is that?) My art show, Animated sequence, Website, Film Festival and emails that I have to write everyday.

I decided to start with small thing like cleaning and organizing my work space. And think through what is more important. I called my client and a contracted employee to set up a deadline. (People respond to deadline well)

I would feel much better knowing that I know what to fix this time.

p.s BTW, this image is created for the animated sequence I am working on...I did something at least..haha

I have been working in front of computer for CG projects for a while...it's time to go back to the world of art...

I have one month to prepare for my art show. I am excited and scared at the same time.

Furniture Paint

I finally had time to paint my old furniture. Bruno and I bought this for $10 from the Hallmark store that was near by our work. Since then, I wanted to paint it because it had ugly wine color and lots of scratches. I sand it and painted it for 3 days. Now I did it, I feel better. I wouldn't exchange this with any other expensive furnitures in the world!!! I love how it turned out!!!

It even goes well with a clock that we bought from Monmatre in Paris!!!

Bag Shopping

I love the Anthropologie store. I go there every weekend...almost!

Lately, I was too busy to go to the store so I ordered this cute bag on line.

This bag is on sale and I love it.

Yellow Whale

My dog, Roxy dreams a lot. She moves around and even growls while she sleeps.

She might be having a dream that she is riding on the yellow whale and floating around the cities.

Buildings

These buildings are designed by me for the animated sequence that I was working on. I brought them to fabric arts. I enjoy making things with fabrics even though it requires hard work. This is a way to get in touch with my artistic side....
